Students gain a wide range of skills through learning how to make and operate robots. Students are fully supported to become highly-acclaimed engineers with a wide range of robotic skills, such as to produce biped robots and develop industrial and rehabilitation robots.

Students learn about mechatronics, computers, and program control techniques, while gaining a wide range of skills, such as construction of microcomputers in robots and communication systems with humans. Students strive to be top corporate technicians in various fields, including industrial robots, mechanics, and machinery.

Course Content

Robotics Course

The curriculum includes classes for learning how to read and draw machine designs, the basics of motors used in robots and various equipment, and technologies to accurately and stably operate robots, as well as practical classes for learning the basics of computers and programs which are necessary for operating robots.

Mechanical Control Course

Students learn about mechatronics, computers, and program control techniques, while gaining a wide range of skills, such as construction of microcomputers in robots and communication systems with humans. Students strive to be top corporate technicians in various fields, including industrial robots, mechanics, and machinery.

Robotics Course

1st Year

The first-year curriculum includes practical classes for learning the basics of machines and materials for robot production and basic manufacturing (mono-zukuri) technologies which are necessary to understand mechanisms of robots and machines.

2nd Year

The second-year curriculum supports students to gain highly-advanced skills. Students create an original robot based on their knowledge of mechanics and programming to operate robots, while actively participating in contests and various events.

Mechanical Control Course

1st Year

The first-year curriculum includes classes for learning about robot control using programming and microcomputers, which is essential for robot operation, and the basics of technology that is essential for robot construction.

2nd Year

The second-year curriculum includes robot production, supporting students to gain practical and comprehensive robot construction techniques and learning about mechanisms of artificial intelligence. Students use their techniques, knowledge, and creativity to create robots.

Students enjoy learning about robots, including how to construct, operate, and apply robots, resulting in mastering various comprehensive techniques in mechanics, machinery, and microcomputers.
Students learn basic knowledge about machining design. After mastering techniques in the field of electronics, such as AC and DC circuits and static electricity, students attend a practical class for learning about 3D CAD, which is essential in robot and machine designing. Students are fully supported to gain a wide range of engineering skills.
Our department has many Arts students. We welcome beginners in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering with full support!
Students have a wide range of career opportunities, including entering Tokyo University of Technology, which is affiliated with our school, and continuing studying in the Technology Research Department.

The robotics industry welcomes female engineers because women's sensibility is useful in the development of entertainment and pet robots, among others.
Students enjoy learning about machine and robotics technologies through robot construction. The rate of employment of our graduates is very high because students with comprehensive skills are needed in various industries, such as the robotics, automobile, electronics, precision machinery, and toy industries.

Roboteer, robot design production engineer, robot /FA system engineer, control program developer, robot toy developer, automobile design production engineer, CAD engineer, mechanical design engineer, production and manufacturing engineer, product design manufacturing engineer (home electronics, etc.), and more.

Students have a wide range of career paths, including entering Tokyo University of Technology, which is affiliated with our school, and further studying at the Technology Research Department, in addition to being successfully employed.

From a Teacher

An essential part of a robot is the digital circuit. I introduce various applications of digital circuits to make students feel familiar with them. Students construct robots in a practical project for participating in various robot competitions. Competitions give students opportunities to communicate with company workers and people from other schools, inspiring students to further develop their capabilities.
