Electronics Engineering Course

Electronics Engineering Course

Students learn about electronics, including designing of electronic circuits used in cell phones, smart phones, and computers, and communication technology, which are applied in a wide range of fields.

Audio Apparatus and Home Electronics Course

Audio Apparatus and Home Electronics Course

Students gain skills and knowledge about AV and home electronics, such as TVs, PCs, and audio systems.

Electrical Engineering Course

Electrical Engineering Course

Students gain knowledge and skills to produce electrical energy and safely manage electrical facilities. Upon successful completion of this course, students obtain the Types 2 and 3 Chief Electrical Engineer Certifications (Den-ken) without examination.

Course Content

Electronics Engineering Course

The curriculum includes classes for learning about various circuits, from basic circuits with transistors to IC application circuits, and the basics and applications of circuit designing using actual examples, such as amplifier circuits, as well as gaining practical skills through designing and production of amplifier and oscillator circuits. Classes also cover communication technology, such as cell phone technology and optical communications.

Audio Apparatus and Home Electronics Course

The curriculum includes classes for learning about various circuits, from basic circuits with transistors to IC application circuits, and imaging techniques and equipment, such as digital broadcasting and DVDs, as well as practical classes for learning about electronics through assembling simple circuits, such as circuits for audio amplifiers. Classes also cover structure and operation of equipment through program production using audio and video equipment.

Electrical Engineering Course

The curriculum includes classes for learning about the structure of trains and traffic control systems, as well as experiments on motors, electric power transmission systems, and lighting equipment. Classes also cover technologies of hydro power, thermal power, and new energy, as well as knowledge required for practical certifications, such as Fire Protection Engineer Certification.

Electrical Engineering Course

The curriculum includes practical classes for learning about optical link technologies and electrical wiring, classes for learning about electrical work planning and safety management, and practical classes for learning about the building of information networks, such as house electrical wiring using CAD software. Classes also cover LAN wiring and communication network connecting technologies. Upon successful completion of the first year, students can obtain Type 2 Electrical Work Engineer Certification.

1st Year

The first-year curriculum includes classes for learning the basics of technology and electronics and electrical engineering, such as electronic circuits. Classes gradually become more advanced from the basics.

2nd Year

The second-year curriculum includes classes for acquiring expertise through practical classes, and special lectures for obtaining certifications which will broaden students' career paths.

Certifications are highly regarded in the fields of electronics and electrical engineering. The electronics and Electrical Engineering Department offers classes for studying for various national certification examinations, fully supporting students to obtain certifications of their interest.

To students who want to further improve their skills as electronic and electrical engineers, we provide full support to enter the second or third year in our affiliated Tokyo University of Technology (School of Bioscience and Biotechnology, School of Media Science, School of Computer Science) or another university. In that case, students can obtain double degrees, a specialist degree and bachelor's degree, during two years at college and two to three years at university. Otherwise, some students may enter the Technology Research Department (1-year course) to further improve their skills while aiming to obtain advanced certifications in the fields of manufacturing, qualification improvement, electrical engineering, environmental biotechnology, and CAD designing.

First and Second-class Special Land Radio Communications Engineer Certifications, Types 2 and 3 Chief Electrical Engineer Certifications, Types 1 and 2 Chief Engineer of Boiler and Turbine Certifications, and Type 2 Installation Technician DD Certification.

Certifications with partial exemption of examination subjects
Installation Technician AI and DD Certifications, Second-class Special Land Radio Communications Engineer Certification, and Type 2 Electrical Work Engineer Certification.
