Course Content

Systems Engineering Major

Students learn about systems engineering, from the basics of information processing to system development, to become a highly-acclaimed system/application engineer with technical and management skills.

Embedded Systems Engineering Major

The curriculum includes classes for learning the overview and types of programing tests, how to improve the programming based on the test results, developing programs for mobile devices, and installation and basic operation of Linux OS.

Web Systems Engineering Major

The curriculum includes classes for learning about HTML and CSS, JavaScript, basics of information design, development of RIA (Rich Internet Applications) based on Flex, and website development process.

Network Engineering Major

The curriculum includes classes for learning about network construction, server set-up, the latest network technologies, and advanced knowledge on Internetworking, using web teaching materials by Cisco Systems.

 

Security Engineering Major

The curriculum includes classes for learning about domestic and international laws and standards regarding network security, encryption and authorization technologies, network security practicums using Cisco Systems equipment, and wide-ranging computer fraud, such as spreading computer viruses, and its countermeasures.

 

The first and second-year curriculum includes classes for gaining basic programming skills for system development.

The third and fourth-year curriculum includes classes for learning business skills and advanced IT skills, such as management strategies required for application specialists and system engineers, marketing, business systems, and e-business, in group and PBL practicums.

The curriculum of Embedded Systems Engineering Major employs an industry-standard curriculum, which not only leads directly to qualification improvement but also provides students with a practical learning environment based on a number of practicums and internships at various companies. Accordingly, the students can gain highly-practical professional skills.

Graduates can work in a wide range of IT professions.

Graduates will be certified as "Kodo Senmonshi" (High-skilled specialist). The pay standard of those with an advanced diploma should be equivalent to that of those with a bachelor's degree. An advanced diploma is taken into consideration upon graduate school application. The graduate school of Tokyo University of Technology, which is affiliated with our school, offers several benefits, such as entrance fee exemption and admission on designated school recommendation.

We welcome IT beginners, non-employed graduates, and art major students. You qualify to take a test to enter the second or third grade of IT Specialist Department if you graduate from a related department of a college (half way before graduation is acceptable), junior college or technical college.

Students participate in a real project team for PBL to work on a project as a team and undergo internship in order to gain practical skills.
